Sometimes, it is hard to believe that this surreal event happened at all. It is definitely also unbelievable that so much time has elapsed since.
Like most people, I can remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. It was that one moment where everyone remembers where they were, so huge was the news.
It changed almost everything that happened since, at least in terms of world affairs. Indeed, the world has never quite felt like the same place that it had been previously.
We should keep the victims and their families in our thoughts.
Let us also not forget those who responded with rescue and clean up efforts, who exposed themselves to danger, and many of whom got cancer. I believe it is our moral responsibility in this country to take care of them, yet somehow, it never seems to quite work out like that.
