A Report Showing Prominent Politician Being Richly Compensated For Opposition To Obamacare

Here is a prime example of the real reason that so many prominent politicians are opposed to any attempts at making healthcare more affordable in the United States. It is not the principle of "greater freedom", which is the official argument that opponents keep falling back on, claiming that it is somehow anti-American to implement such a system, where government oversight to keep costs in line and affordable.

No, the real reason, albeit hidden, is that prominent political opponents are richly compensated by the bloated healthcare industry. After all, with all the billions and billions of dollars of profit that they are raking in, what are these small, individual handouts to key people, in order to greatly entrench their political efforts to oppose this measure, which obviously would cut into their profit making machine, but which are also in the interests of the American people in general.

It does not even take much surmising to understand this, although far too many people look the other way, and pretend that this is not why their is such staunch opposition. The kick-backs and other rich and individualized compensation, and the backroom deals. If these do not constitute the very high level corruption and conflict of interest that so many people, including neocon Tea Party members complain about, I don't know what is.

Yet, most people would demand proof. Well, the proof is out there. We just need good journalists (and let's face it - that means that we cannot rely on the major news networks) to unearth these harsh realities. Also, we need to pay attention, and so many of the brainwashed people who systematically stand in opposition, even staunch opposition, to what is actually in their best interests, tend to choose not to pay attention to these things. All just part of the knee jerk reaction, the childish plugging of the ears. The only thing missing is the chant "I'm not listening to you. Nah, nah, nah-nah, naaaah!"

But if you want to hear the truth, pretty or not, it is still available. First, we have to turn off not only Faux News, but pretty much all of the major television networks, as well as the most of the popular newspapers and journals. Most of these, like our most prominent politicians, are either owned by major corporations with vested interests in these issues, or so influenced or richly compensated by them, that it constitutes a conflict of interest.

Real PAC, a political action group (special interests?) released a report on Friday, August 30th (you will notice that the timing of this came when it was going to attract the least amount of attention, on the first day of an extended holiday weekend), revealing that payments to Georgia Governor Nathan Deal by numerous health insurance companies, in support of his re-election.

Hell, the governor was even boasting about his attempts to interfere with the implementation of Obamacare, which is set to take effect very soon now.

Is this not what we keep hearing referred to as "special interests" lobbying? Again, political corruption trumps the interests of the American people once again. And to reiterate an argument that I have employed already numerous times on this blog, it is not like we are absent of what would happen if such a thing ever actually was implemented in the United States. Americans really should understand the reality that their country is the only one among industrialized nations not to have such a system. Thus, it is the only country among industrialized nation where people  lose their homes and their jobs and such when they get seriously sick or sustain serious injury, due to the absurdly high costs of medical care. If it works not only in another country, but all other industrialized nation in the world, why would it not work here in the US? And if it did not work in those other countries, why is healthcare not a political controversy or major debate in those countries? Why wouldn't they simply turn to the superior American model? For that matter, why is the debate seemingly settled in those countries, yet it keeps rearing it's ugly head here in the United States, year after year, decade after decade? These are questions that I generally have placed to all the opponents that I have engaged in a debate with on this topic, and they usually are not very well answered.

Keep informed. Listen closely to what is being said on both sides, and also, let's keep an eye out for articles that reveal some other, more hidden truths, like this article from Greg Miller of Addicting Info, and then make up your own mind. It is important to have all the facts, and make an informed decision based on the facts, not the mere smoke of opinions (often, opinions that are swayed by the glitter of tons of money and selfish interests).

Here is the article, which I do hope you will take the time to look at:
