Just How Complex Are The Reasons for America's Failure In Healthcare?

Watch this video, "Why Are American Heath Care Costs So High?"

This is a video of John Green, and he makes not only some interesting and revealing, but also very depressing facts about why healthcare costs are so outrageously higher than they are anywhere else in the industrialized nation.

It is under the Upworthy website, under the apparent title "His First 4 Sentences Are Interesting. The 5th Blew My Mind. And Made Me A Little Sick."

When I first was notified about this link, I had no idea what it was about, and was expecting some semi-interesting facts about life, some insights that would serve as good soundbites to show off at a party, but with little else of value.

In fact, this video is not a mere four or five sentences. That said, please watch it through the end. It is maybe a little over four minutes, but those four minutes are packed with more information on why the American healthcare system is so damn screwed up than anything else that I have encountered, and far more revealing than anything you will find on the major media sources, much less self-serving politicians.

Take a look for yourself. Please. This is too important of an issue, and I promise you, it will get you to think about a very important issue, and unless your computer freezes or crashes, you will not regret the four or so minutes that you spend watching it.

At the end of the video, there is this at the bottom:

ORIGINAL: By the incomparable John Green, who says the following about his sources: "For a much more thorough examination of health care expenses in America, I recommend this series at The Incidental Economist and The Commonwealth Fund's Study of Health Care Prices in the U.S. Some of the stats in this video also come from this New York Times story."
