More From Webpage of Bill Moyers

Here are a few more interesting articles from the Bill Moyers website, tackling relevant issues that affect the real world, far more than, say, the immense coverage of Miley Cyrus, or the upcoming blitz of coverage over opening weekend for NFL football. I love the NFL, but it is important to keep things in perspective, and remember that viewing sports are entertainment, and never meant to be a lifestyle unto their own. It always amazes me how many people (some of my coworkers are like this) show a very passionate and thoughtful side when it comes to keeping up with their Fantasy Football teams, in engaging in lively, sports themed debates, yet remain basically completely ignorant on the real news of the day. Here are some articles that combat this unfortunate trend:

Here are a couple of articles about our situation with Syria:

Here is an excerpt from the most recent book by Andrew Bacevich, who wrote one book that I absolutely loved, and wrote a review on last year, "The Limits of Power: The End of American Exceptionalism". His latest work is titled "The Short American Century", and you can (and should) read the excerpt of it, available by following the link below:

Finally, a couple of articles dealing with income disparity in the United States, and explore how such wide economic inequalities not only came into being, but are in fact deeply entrenched and are by design, in the first place:
