Tesla Not Able To Sell Cars in New Jersey (For Now)

You know, it's funny.

There are conservatives, or those who claim to be conservative and profess a strong belief in the free market (or capitalist) system.

Yet, sometimes, it seems that they get in the way of such free enterprise, when their own interests run into conflict with a corporation.

Witness the situation presently with Tesla, which has been struggling to get a foothold in New Jersey, because our beloved Governor Christie, who still has designs for a White House run, has stood in their way, with a rule claiming that it cannot sell vehicles through it's own chain stores, but needs to do it by having a franchise license.

The state backed the Christie administration's ruling, and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission approved the verdict.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has protested the rule and verdict, and claimed that Christie and New Jersey were undermining Tesla's ability to sell their cars, but Christie shot back by saying, essentially, that Tesla knows what it needs to do if it wants to sell cars in the so-called Garden State.
