Working Out For Minutes Per Week? Yeah, Apparently That's Enough

Well, it's springtime, finally! After a very long and terrible winter, the warmer weather is finally here!

That usually means a few things. Spring cleaning, for example. Garage sales resulting from this spring cleaning, as well, become regular fixtures on weekend drives through the neighborhood.

And, of course, people begin to make plans for the upcoming summer, particularly with their vacations. They begin to save up, to talk about it, and to make the actual arrangements.

One of the places that people like to flock to is the beach, of course. Everyone knows that.

But the thing is, some people are nervous, particularly after a winter, and this is especially true after such a severe winter as the one we just had, where cabin fever was a serious threat.

People begin to want to get in shape, and lose the extra pounds that they acquired during the lazy, winter season, when outdoor activities often are not as readily available as they are during the warmer months. It is obviously more complicated to go hiking, running, walking, biking, or simply to go out for a day in the park, when the snow and ice get in the way.

True, you may get to go skiing or snowboarding, or possibly even ice skating or sledding, if you're lucky enough to.

Admittedly, I engaged in none of those activities this past winter, which was unkind in more ways than one to me.

So, I am interested in getting back in shape myself, after a particularly lousy and involuntarily lazy winter. Time to lose the belly fat, which grew surprisingly since last fall.

The thing is, there are so many different workouts available, and each one claims to be the best, the easiest, the fastest, the most complete, the most reliable.

A few years ago, I lost about forty pounds by following the "Fat Smash Diet", and making a point to seriously walk at least three to four miles every day, religiously, no matter what the weather. It worked incredibly well, and I think I will return to that again.

But what else is available? Do we really need to invest good money into an insanity workout, like the videos early in the morning urge us to? Is the option really to just become a physical fitness but?

Well, not really, actually.

Below is the link to a very interesting article that shows how surprisingly easy getting sufficient exercise might be, and I recommend taking a look:
