One man running against a pretty famous Republican governor (of Florida) and climate change denier, Rick Scott, had a pretty solid response against his opponent's denial of climate change.
He said that while he (like Rick Scott, and many other Republican "leaders" like Rubio and Boehner) also acknowledge that they are not scientific experts, he came up with the novel idea of actually talking to scientists and hearing what they have to say on the subject, then assessing from that discussion what the best course of action might be.
Hmmmm....listening to people on a subject that they know better than you, rather than saying exactly the right thing to score you political points? It might just be crazy enough to work! Charlie Crist holds a still relatively slim lead over Rick Scott.
