Mark Hammill Shows Off New Beard for Episode VII

So, while the specifics of the new Star Wars movie remain largely a mystery, there are tons of rumors flying around all over the place.

Just a few weeks ago, supposedly someone got some footage of all sorts of old weaponry from the original Star Wars trilogy at the Frankfurt airport, but that wound up being a fake.

There were also some movie poster images that were, as it turns out, unofficial.

Quite a few other things have arisen and gotten a lot of press, but they largely remain unconfirmed.

But here is something that is real, evidently: Mark Hamill has a new look for the new film. His older Luke Skywalker character for the later movies has a beard now, which is pretty consistent, actually, with other, older Jedi we have seen (as well as often being the case for older men that are occupied in the spiritual world, or have hermetic qualities to them.

I like it. There is both a sense of continuity, as well as change, with the three original main characters involved in this new trilogy.

This makes sense, and seeing Hamill like this makes the imminent release of the movie late next year more of a reality than it felt like to this point.
