Japan Strengthening Military Despite Lingering Controversies

Just got this published this earlier today when I completed my article, and thought it would be cool to share here.

Japan is rearming, and it is not without controversy. Given the track record that Japan has during World War II, and that the current prime minister has no problem going to memorials honoring Japan's war dead, as well as Japan's huge economic capabilities, you can understand why this has some people nervous, to say the least.

This beefing up of the military has been aggressively pursued by the sitting prime minister, and he has essentially tried to change the nature of the longstanding pacifist constitution in order to do it. But it has made other countries nervous, and no country is more opposed to this than China.
