"Transparency Matters" Tweets Jeb

The other day, I heard the still developing story about how Hillary Clinton, the front-runner in the Democratic party for the presidential race of 2016, exclusively used her own email while serving as Secretary of State during the first term of the Obama White House.

Jeb Bush, one of the front-runners in the Republican field, and brother of former President George W. Bush, and son of former President George H. W. Bush, is using this to his advantage. In criticizing Clinton and calling for her to release the emails, he expressed a hope that she did not already destroy the emails, and claimed that "transparency matters!"

Hah!

He himself used personal email while serving as governor in Florida.

Also, more importantly, he supported his brother while he was in the White House, where secrecy mattered most, and transparency was far from forthcoming. The classified level for information was grossly abused, although not only did Jeb unconditionally support his brother as president, but still claims that he was a great president.

If this is the kind of nonsense that we can expect from a third Bush White House, than I hope that the American people can see through this clown act, and grasp what they surely should know is coming if this guy is elected.

Yes, transparency matters. I certainly agree. But not only for political profit, and not when it serves a double standard. Where was Jeb's stress on transparency when his brother was in the Oval Office? Would he still stress it, for that matter, if he one day occupies the same desk as his brother and father before him?

Remember when George W. Bush suggested that only a handful of people from a couple of families maybe were qualified to serve as president?

What a joke, to think that either the Clintons or the Bushes should exchange the powers of the presidency exclusively!

If anything, this story serves to underscore the necessity of someone knew taking over. Someone with fresh ideas and a new approach, as well as integrity and sincerity (gasp!).

Time for a change.
