Kentucky's Calipari Citing More Numbers Than "1 and Done"

As most Americans know already, Kentucky is on the verge of completing an ultra rare, undefeated season in college basketball, a feat that has not been achieved in four decades. It would truly be a singular achievement in recent sports memory, given the climate of sports these days. The only thing comparable that we have seen in recent years would be the undefeated run that the 2007 New England Patriots went on before losing the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.

Kentucky looks historically dominant so far this season, although they had a very tough time getting past Notre Dame in their last game to qualify for the Final Four. Still, if they manage to win their next two games to complete the perfect season, many believe they will go down in history as the most dominant team in NCAA history.

That itself would be an enormous accomplishment, and the numbers are certainly impressive. Perhaps the number that Kentucky fans can be most proud of is "Number One", since that is what the team has been ranked all season long.

However, Kentucky head coach John Calipari feels that there are more impressive numbers regarding his players - their academic numbers.

Look through these, and indeed, it is hard not to be impressed by their achievements not only athletically, but academically.

Indeed, those achievements are worthy of applause!

Also, by all means, let's see Kentucky make history, and run the tables. Let's see them make history by going 40-0!
