Pastor John Hagee Feels Welfare Recipients Deserve to Die

How Christian of him!

Pastor John Hagee has stated that he feels that welfare recipients, in his words, "don't deserve to live."

How Christian of him! What an inspiring, charitable message to spread.

No word of how he feels about all of those Biblical passages where Jesus emphasizes being kind and merciful to the poor, or if he feels that the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes might have accidentally appeared in the Bible. It certainly does not seem like those are the messages of Christianity that Pastor Hagee believes in.

Hagee seems like the kind of religious leader who cherry picks those passages and parts of the Bible that suit his already made up mind about the world and how it works. Frankly, he sounds like the kind of guy that would use the Bible to justify his own prejudices.

In other words, he sounds like a dangerous guy, filled with hypocrisy and hatred, the polar opposite of what Christianity, as most people understand it, is ideally supposed to represent.

Of course, he is not unique in this respect, although his statement that welfare recipients do not deserve to live certainly is extreme enough that it made headlines.

It should be noted that Pastor John Hagee's net worth is estimated at $5 million.

How Christian of him!

He sounds like one of the guys that Jesus would have chased from the Tempe, frankly.

Here are a couple of links about this story, with the first being about Pastor Hagee's actual words, and the second being a link showing how much wealth Pastor Hagee has accumulated.
