Ten Commandos' 'Staring Down the Dust' Released & First Impressions

The announcement of the formation of this new group, the Ten Commandos, was very exciting to fans of the big bands from Seattle in the nineties.

Have to admit that while I was not sure what to expect in terms of sound, this was probably not it. I remember the vocals of Mark Lanegan with the Screaming Trees in the nineties and Queens of the Stone Age in the early 2000's, and he sounded a lot different. This took me by surprise, although it was not terrible, or anything.

For some reason, the style reminded me a bit of Audioslave, which was another so-called Supergroup from members of some legendary nineties bands (in that case, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and several members of Rage Against the Machine).
