As I was mentioning in my previous post, I have mixed feelings about Putin.
However, he often is strong in deflecting criticism by the West by simply pointing out the hypocrisy that exists in the West, and this is another example.
ISIS seemed to come out of nowhere last year to suddenly take over huge chunks of territory in Iraq and Syria, and began a genocidal program of mass killings that they made a point of videotaping and "leaking" to the outside world. They kept winning battles and gaining more territory, and becoming more powerful.
And now, they are being blamed for the Paris attacks and even a bombing that downed a Russian airliner with hundreds of Russians on board. They have become public enemy number one, and there is this rush of animosity and a sudden urgency to do something about them, to root them out of power in the Middle East. In other words, we are rushing once again towards war.
But again the question, where did they come from, and how did they get so powerful?
Putin recently discussed this, and mentioned, specifically, the countries that are funding ISIS.
