Happy Yom Kippur!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Yom Kippur!

Also, it seemed like an opportunity to learn more about this most sacred of Jewish holidays which, admittedly, I am not all that familiar with.

I looked it up, and Yom Kippur means "Day of Atonement." It is the day that Jews feel closest to God. Many Jews who do not celebrate or recognize other holidays or customs will recognize this one, and will avoid any work. This is considered the "Sabbath of Sabbaths."

According to Wikipedia, Yom Kippur is "the tenth day of [the] seventh month" (Tishrei), with Rosh Hashanah being the first day of that month, and this holiday falls after the 10 Days of Awe.
