These are a series of illustrations that show what the electoral map would look like if only certain groups could vote - including minorities, women, white people, white people with and without a college education, white men, and white men with a college education.
This is kind of telling, and reveals just how we are divided in the United States. It does not, however, explain why we are so divided, and apparently, perhaps primarily based upon race.
And to think that I knew a few people (white men, if that says something) who outright suggested that racism could no longer be said to be a problem anymore following Barack Obama's election in 2008.
