Soundgarden's Chris Cornell on His Latest Track - "The Promise"

So, having mentioned Pearl Jam in the last couple of blog entries, it seems fitting to post some Soundgarden related news.

Or, at least, some news about the lead singer of Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, who actually released a song for an upcoming movie about the Armenian genocide.

The story of the Armenian genocide was not as widely known as some of the more famous tragedies in history, such as the Holocaust, or the genocide of the Native Americans. However, the level of this tragedy was truly staggering, and the ramifications are still being felt now, as more of this story comes out with each passing year, it seems.

That might become especially true with this new movie, "The Promise," set to come out later this month. It stars Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale.

Cornell's new song shares the same name as the movie, and has just been released.
