Throwing My Support Behind Donald Trump

Yes, I know that I have had my differences with our president in the past, but all that is behind me now.

After some serious soul searching, I now believe that President Trump has made strides to do as he said he would, and to make America great again!

Okay, sure, he stretched the truth a bit at times. But for the most part, the spirit of what he is and has been saying rings true. Environmental regulations in the United States probably have been strangling the economy, and need to be relaxed a bit.

What harm can come of it, really? I mean, scientists have been sounding the alarm on this issue for years, even decades, and nothing ever happens. Surely, that means that this threat is exaggerated. Indeed, it probably was designed to hurt the American economy, and that is the one thing that we can never, ever allow to have happen! And you know what? It's a bit cool outside right now? What possible harm can come from it being two degrees or so warmer, like the scientists keep suggesting. After all, it allows you to take that jacket off, maybe put your sunglasses on. Maybe get a little more beach time. And hell, if the oceans rise, that will just make new beachfront properties available, and is that really such a bad thing?

Frankly, we need a strong man like Trump, someone who is unafraid to speak his mind, to take chances with the country, and to make sure that the rest of the world understands that we are not kidding around anymore! We will go to the ends of the Earth to hunt down terrorists, and we will wipe out ISIS, just like the president promised we would.

He is just the right man for these dangerous times. A man who is not a well-polished Washington insider. A man who made his own empire, through deals and through direct action. If he could be such a success in the private sector, just imagine what he can do for the country?

In his inaugural address, he promised that from this day forth, it would be only America first. Only America first. And yes, I have criticized him for it, and suggested that this was wrong. But when I stopped to think about it, why shouldn't this be the case? After all, he will be the American president, not the president of the world! Why should he not put America first, all of the time, and without exception? Every other country is looking out for itself, for why shouldn't the United States? What would be so wrong with that? True, it is a different message than what the rest of the world is used to, but let them deal with it! They look out for their interests, and we look out for our own. Really, this is as it always has been. Trump is just being more honest, about it. Frankly, I find it rather refreshing!

During the campaign, he promised to be the greatest jobs creator in history, and that is just what this country needs. Already, he seems to be saving the coal industry, and he saved those jobs at that plant in Indiana as President-elect. Just wait until he has been president for a while longer, and wait to be amazed at all that he manages to do!

True, every now and then he can seem a bit crass, and his style takes a little bit of adjusting. Not everything that the man says can be agreed with. But can you agree with everything that anyone says these days? All of this exaggerated outrage, just because of a little locker room talk. What's the big deal if he brags about the size of his...whatever? What harm can come of him being a little more forward with women, anyway? He is and always has been a go getter, and that seems to be his approach with everything. Granted, it's not for everyone, okay? I get it. But just lay off, and give the guy a chance. Again, look at how successful this man is! He wants to bring his talents to the West Wing, so let him! Let him do for the country what he has done for himself!

Indeed, the rich are made to pay too many taxes, and they already pay more than everyone else. Why not just give them a little space, and let them get back to what they do best, which is making money? When they make money, they will indeed begin new enterprises, and this is good for all of the rest of us, because it translates to more jobs!

I mean, hello? Is this not so obvious that it requires no explanation whatsoever? The rich are the one who create jobs for the rest of us. This has always been the case. People make fun of this, and dismiss it, calling it "trickle down," or whatever they want to label it as. But it works. It always has, and it always will. Plus, it's the American way! Do we really want to experiment with the dangers of communism or socialism? We would be playing with fire, and we have a good thing going here, okay? So, let's not spoil it!

And is a wall such a bad thing? I mean, it is not illegal, or anything. It is on our territory, after all, and we should do something to at least contain the influx of illegal immigrants swarming into this country, and draining our resources, stealing our jobs.

Sure, Trump suffered a setback on healthcare last week, but that was Paul Ryan's bill, not President Trump's. He promised that his healthcare bill would cover all Americans, and we need to stand by this promise, and help him to deliver it! Obamacare should be repealed and replaced by something better, and Trump is just the man to do this!

All in all, we just need to stop being outraged by all that this man is doing. He is essentially a good man, having sacrificed his business interests in order to become a public servant, and do what is in the best interests of the country. Such a selfless man deserves the benefit of the doubt. And so, I stand by President Trump at this hour of our nation's need!

As the title of his book revealed, this man is an artist. No, he is not a sculptor, or a painter. Not a musician, not a playwright or a poet. He does not write novels, and he probably does not read them, either. Not a chef, as he likes his women to make him dinner each night. And you most definitely will not see him on the street corner, performing and asking people for their small change. This man is much grander than that! His is the art of the deal, and at this, he is the best. We all know that he can seal the deal on pretty much anything and everything, and so we can expect that he will now continue to do this from the Oval Office. He will make the best deals that America can possibly get, and he will also force others to comply. This might seem a little crude to some, and surely, it is not going to go over well with the politically correct crowd. But Trump knows how to negotiate the best deal, the one that will serve his best interests, and we are privileged enough to have such a man at the helm here in this country now! He will make similar deals, only the country as a whole will now get to benefit from it! Really, we should feel blessed!

This is a man who can and will get things done!

Who's with me?
