It might not be officially over yet, but it sure looks like it is over, does it not?

The Golden State Warriors cruised to a surprisingly easy looking 2-0 series lead with decisive wins at home, but the real test would then be how they would do on the road in Cleveland, right?

Well, the game last night was a whole lot closer, going to the final minute or two before it was decided. Yet, in the end, the result was the same: a clear win by Golden State.

It was tight, and went back and forth there during the final quarter, and it was not clear who would come away with the victory. But with Golden State leading 103-100, Kevin Durant sank a very long shot from way downtown to give the Warriors a 106-100 lead with very little time remaining, and the Cavaliers looking visibly dispirited.

Ball game.

Now, it is too early to state that the Warriors will surely go on to win. After all, just two years ago, the Cavs looked finished after falling behind three games to one, only to sweep Golden State the rest of the way to take the title.

However, coming back from a 3-0 series deficit is another matter altogether. It has never been done in NBA playoff history yet, and especially in NBA Finals history. And these Warriors just look like they are too much for Cleveland. The Cavs did come back two years ago, true, but that was before Golden State acquired Kevin Durant. It now appears that the Warriors simply have too many weapons, and just too much talent, for the Cavaliers to handle.

Still, the series is not finished, and so let's hold off on declaring anyone the champions just yet. But it sure seems like the new champs look a lot like the old champs, doesn't it?
