Pro-Trump Crowd Cheers Valedictorian’s Trump Quote, Then Falls Silent When Revealed it Was Not Trump's Quote

Here is some ridiculous news involving President Trump. Of course, most news concerning Trump tends to be ridiculous, but this time, he is not directly involved.

A Kentucky valedictorian gave a quote about that people wildly applauded when he mentioned that it was from President Trump.

Specifically, here is what he said:

“This is the part of my speech where I share some inspirational quotes I found on Google,” he told the packed auditorium. “‘Don’t just get involved. Fight for your seat at the table. Better yet, fight for a seat at the head of the table’ — Donald J. Trump.”

The crowd went wild with applause.

And then, he pulled the plug on that.

"Just kidding,"  he said. "That was Barack Obama."

The crowd instantly went dead silent.

Well, almost dead silent. There was one boo.

So ridiculous. A quote that seemed to them beautiful and relevant when it was by their hero, Donald Trump, suddenly was a source of hatred when it was revealed to have been from Barack Obama instead.

  1. This is exactly the reason why Trump is our president -- people's prejudices (sometimes subconscious) influence their vote to the point that they no longer actually listen to or hear the message.
