So this was a strange story that came out over this past weekend.
A mayor in Poland was stabbed and ultimately killed onstage at a charity event.
The fact that Paweł Adamowicz, the mayor of the city of Gdansk, as well as the leader of the liberal opposition party to Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS), was stabbed to death right on stage makes this a very strange story, one that has generated headlines all around the world.
The man who is responsible was a 27-year old former convict who blamed the mayor's party for being responsible for his imprisonment and subsequent torture.
There were vigils held throughout Poland after the tragedy.
