I'm actually glad. As long as it's going to look and feel like winter anyway – and up here that's been the case for nearly two months already – it might as well officially be winter. Plus at least now we know that the sun will gradually start setting later for the next six months. I don't need to remind you how depressing it is when the sun rises at 4:26pm and sets at 4:43pm. The countdown to spring is officially on!
Yeah, the weather has been a bit erratic here. Well below freezing for a stretch, then today felt like spring. You probably have had far colder, and likely more snow.
Today it's actually quite mild for this time of year: it's 40º, and we're expecting a high of 47º later this afternoon. But overall it's been cold, and there's been at least some snow on the ground for most of the last month and a half.
