The Patriots are looking better and better with each passing week, it seems.
That is a good thing for Belichick and Pats fans, of course, because they are about to get some serious tests now.
As of right now, though, New England looks solid. They completely dominated the Falcons on both sides of the ball on Thursday night.
The Patriots looked particularly impressive on defense, where they managed to shut the Falcons. It was the first time that the Falcons had been shut out at home in well over a decade. New England also was able to nab four fourth quarter interceptions, which effectively ended any chance the Falcons had of coming back.
Mac Jones was very impressive, completing 22 of 26 passes for 207 yards, with one touchdown and one INT. Most importantly, he remained calm throughout, and looked anything but a rookie out there.
New England held onto the ball for almost 33 minutes, earning 308 yards and 20 first downs, to just 165 yards and 11 first downs for the Falcons. Jones did suffer that one interception, but the Falcons quarterbacks had four INT's in total, all coming in the fourth quarter, and helping to bury what chances Atlanta still had at the time.
With the win - their fifth in a row - the Patriots improve to 7-4 on the season, and can still look forward to their bye week in early December. As for the Falcons, they fall to 4-6, and are 1-4 at home to this point in the season, as they slip farther behind in the playoff race.
My pick: Accurate
