Yesterday was a good day. I worked both jobs, yet managed to get a decent and refreshing early morning walk in the hour in between the two shifts. I wrote decently, and read some good stuff. It was another day when I managed to walk at least six miles total (just shy of seven, in fact).
And this happened: I had a very rare opportunity to get a picture of a bright red cardinal. Usually, they fly away long before I even get my cell out to actually take the picture. Seems to happen every time.
This time, it was right by a window in a hallway I was passing through. Evidently, it either did not see me, or understood that I posed no threat. So that presented me with a chance to actually obtaining some decently close pictures.
Granted, there is the glare of the window. Yes, that is a bit annoying. It also distorted the colors and imagery a little bit.
Still, it is probably the best (and surely the closest) picture that I have managed of one of these bright red (male) cardinals.
