For a long time now, I have loved the game of chess.
Yet, I do not really talk about it much here on this blog, do I? At least, there have been relatively few blog entries which directly talk about it.
Earlier, however, I ran into this Facebook post. It was fascinating, and illustrated a little bit of history pertaining to chess which I simply had not know before. And it seemed like something worth sharing here, as well.
It's funny, because while I have long played the game - probably since around the age of seven or so, but perhaps earlier - I have grown familiar and better with the actual game over time. Also, I was always interested in learning more about the actual history, how the game developed, but still admittedly know precious little of the actual history. It's just not something which I ever seriously pursued for some reason.
