A Hilarious Take on the NFC East Race Through the First 10 Weeks of the 2024 Season

It occurred to me that I have not really written anything about the state of this NFL season in quite a while on this blog.

That's fine. I will get there soon enough.

However, I ran into this little Facebook short which was posted by Fly Phamily, a Philadelphia Eagles fan page, who posted this under the title "The NFC East Through 10 Weeks." He posted this on November 12th, and it felt true. 

This was really funny. I am a Giants fan, and this makes fun of Big Blue. Yet, I have to admit that this was hilarious.

If you guys cannot view it, this is a brief clip of a wrestling "battle royal," with many prominent wrestlers involved. It first focuses on a guy wearing blue, with some red and white highlights, and the logo of the New York Giants football team over his face. He runs into the ring energetically, as the newest participant into the wrestling match, before getting immediately and violently thrown out of the ring. He then whines about how he "wasn't ready."

Then, it goes to a much smaller wrestler who, for some reason, tries to pick a fight with two behemoths (with the logos of the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders covering their faces) about to face off. He starts pounding away with little effect, only managing to temporarily distract them. Still, he looks highly energized, and looks like a kid with restless legs, waiting for a serious reaction from one of the two larger wrestlers. They divert their attention away from one another, and the presumably epic battle which they are about to engage in, and simultaneously toss the much smaller wrestler out of the ring, as a complete non-factor. This small wrestler has the Dallas Cowboys "star" pasted over his face and head the entire way.

Hilarious. Thought it would be worth sharing here, assuming you guys can see it.

Side Note: Did some research, and discovered that these two clips were taken from a WWE Smackdown Battle Royale. The "Dallas Cowboy" is a wrestler known as Jamie Noble, who I was admittedly unfamiliar with prior to this.  The bigger wrestlers are Kane and Batista. Still don't know who the "New York Giant" wrestler was, or which wrestling match, specifically, this was taken from. But I will keep trying to find out.
