A few days ago, I posted something about the universe dying, and that this was a sobering thought.
Not everyone agreed, although I would suggest that this is a sobering thought, even if no one here will be around to see it when it happens.
The idea that there is literally nothing in this world, in this universe, that will last forever is indeed a sobering thought.
Indeed, it is a sobering thought in particular because we have been conditioned to think of ourselves as the center of the universe, and we tend to lose sight of the fact that our own lives will end, even if we know the world as a whole will continue after us.
