A Recent Meme Illustrates How Detrimental Aaron Rodgers Has Been Compared to Other Great NFL Quarterbacks With New Teams

A site called NFL Memes posted something about star veteran quarterbacks who went on to other teams, and the impact that they had.

The first was Joe Montana, who left the 49ers and played a couple of seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs. He led the Chiefs to the playoffs twice, and to the AFC Championship Game in his first season there. Maybe not the best results you could ask for, but still pretty damn respectable.

Then, there is Peyton Manning. He left the Colts and went to the Broncos. During his tenure, Denver made the playoffs every single season, and qualified for the Super Bowl twice, winning the final time.

Of course, there was Tom Brady. He added another Super Bowl championship to his already impressive, record collection of Super Bowl wins by any player. It was his tenth Super Bowl appearance as a starting quarterback, and a seventh Super Bowl win, winning Super Bowl MVP in the game for a record 5th time.

Finally, we have Aaron Rodgers. In now his second year with the Jets, the closest that Gang Green has gotten to the Super Bowl is the hype surrounding Rodgers constantly predicting that the Jets will make it there with him at the helm. In reality, however, Rodgers only made it to the Super Bowl once. He did win it with the Green Bay Packers, true. And he was obviously a very talented QB with Green Bay. But it feels like his arrogance and buffoonery has defined him since leaving the Packers. And with the Jets, it feels like he has actually been more of a distraction and an obstacle to success than helping Gang Green to achieve greater success so far, frankly.
