Another Prominent New Jersey Official Overstepped His Limits & Was Caught Bullying Political Opposition

What is it with politicians from my home state of New Jersey, anyway?

We have a governor who was so taken with himself, and apparently believed himself so untouchable, that members of his administration, and perhaps he himself, tried to intimidate political opposition from mayors belonging to the opposing party. Of course, the Bridgegate scandal that followed essentially proved that he was not untouchable, and so undermined Christy's credibility, that it appears that his political career is now over.

Then we have Democratic Senators Bob Menendez and Corey Booker, both of whom took enormous sums of money from the big pharmaceutical industry, and were outed by angry activists - and rightly so!

And now, we have Congressman Frelinhuysen, from a famous political family here in New Jersey, who is claiming to be a victim of a political witch hunt ever since the election of Donald Trump to the White House.

Since then, he claims, there have been what he would call extremist activists who have been trying to undermine his chances for remaining in office, and he even went so far as to point out, in a letter to high ranking officials of Lakeland Bank, that one of their higher ups was a "ringleader."

Now, of course, the story went public, and once again, a prominent New Jersey politician looks like he was trying to bully his opposition.

The employee in question resigned from her position with the bank, but has made it clear that this was a move to try and intimidate her. Effectively, she says, it amounted to a threat.

Indeed, when you look at this note, how else can it be taken? And just who in the hell do these officials think they are, anyway? Is there something illegal to opposing Frelinghusen, or any other elected officials, for that matter? If he seems to side a bit too much with President Trump, while representing a district that is not nearly so pro-Trump, then should he not expect some serious resistance?

He clearly crossed a line, and if there was any question before, it is now clearer than ever that Frelinghuysen absolutely needs to go. This was a disgrace, and this is what he should be remembered for from here on out. Frankly, I cannot see how it will be any other way.

If it were unclear just how important it is for officials such as these to go, it is becoming clearer every day, with more and more reports such as this!

Frelinghuysen must go!
