Information on Colonial Era Musket Rifles

As I wrote about earlier, my son was really quite taken by the visit to Washington's Headquarters in Morristown this past weekend.

One thing that he particularly enjoyed was learning about muskets, and he had a ton of questions. Unfortunately, he was probably too nervous to ask our guide, so these questions remained unanswered, since I am hardly an expert when it comes to muskets.

He asked me questions like how long it took to load, how you could reload, how many shots could be fired, and how quickly, etc..

So, I did a little bit of online research, and found this video that, I hope, might answer his questions. It seemed like a good idea to share it here, to boot.
