Well, I was going to try and publish a review of the opening game of the season between the visiting Cowboys and the defending champion Eagles tonight.
However, the game was delayed on account of lightning.
As I write this, the Eagles were leading the game, 24-20, late in the third quarter.
Philly may or may not experience some difficulties as the defending champs. A lot of teams experience a championship hangover after winning a title. However, the Eagles looked pretty solid at least through the first half and most of the third quarter. To their credit, so did the 'Boys.
There was one incident, which I found disgusting.
Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was ejected for spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. That seems particularly disrespectful, and so it feels like his ejection was deserved, frankly.
Anyway, let's see if and when the game resumes, and who ultimately comes out on top.
