Just figured I'd write a little something, even if it is a short blip, about the end of summer, and the beginning of the fall season.
That's right. it's time to put away the swimming trunks and sun tan lotion, at least for another year.
I had a good summer, and hopefully, so did you on your end. But it's over now.
Truth be told, of course, it always feels to me like summer is realistically over on the evening of Labor Day, when people go to bed ready for the regular school year to start. Vacations suddenly become much less common. The weather grows significantly cooler, even if, technically, there are still usually three weeks of official summer left.
Later today, at 4:44pm specifically (16:24), summer will officially yield to the autumn. Before long, we will enjoy the privilege of colorful fall foliage. The days are still relatively warm, at least mild, but the nights have been cool, sometimes bordering on cold. That trend will only continue and strengthen. Fall is here.
Before long, the trees will be bare of their leaves, and that gray-brown of late fall will begin to resemble the encroaching winter, although there is still a bit of time before that. Until then, the fall is one of the most pleasant times of the year, and I hope to be able to enjoy it! Hopefully, so will you!
Happy autumn!
