China's Fake Sphinx to Fall

Happened upon this article, and thought it was interesting enough to share.

Not sure if I did something about the imitation architecture that has become quite common in China today, but it is not merely this Sphinx. There is a miniature version of Mount Rushmore, as well as a small city modeled on Paris, complete with an Eiffel Tower, a fountain from Versailles, and some other buildings that look reminiscent of Paris. Also, there is an entire Austrian village that has been copied.

In any case, China is tearing this Great Sphinx down, after receiving some pressure from Egypt.
