This was pretty funny, and quite brave on the part of Stephen Colbert!
The talk show host had the newly crowned U.S. Open champion Novak Djokovic over on the show a couple of days ago, just after he had defeated Roger Federer to capture his second ever U.S. Open championship, and his tenth career grand slam title overall to this point.
What made this especially memorable was that Djokovic got a chance to show off his skills a bit by hitting a serve right at Colbert, although Colbert did have protection in the form of his Captain America shield from his previous show.
I have said it before here, and I will say it again: Djokovic is a class act, and a champion that tennis fans, like myself, should be proud of! He definitely deserves better than the treatment that he received by the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium the other day, when he was just about jeered by the obviously pro-Federer crowd. Video clips like this should prove what most tennis fans should already know: that Djokovic has a rich sense of humor, and is a genuinely good guy.
