Some of the Greatest Moments in NY Giants History

So, yes, it is almost that time again. The NFL season is about to start this Thursday, when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots, who will be led by star quarterback Tom Brady, who will indeed be starting, having won his appeal.

A few days after that, most of the rest of the NFL will start the season off with Week one action on Sunday, and a couple of games for that first Monday.

Should be great.

And it seemed fitting, in that spirit, to focus on something related to the NFL.

Here are some links to some of the greatest moments in Giants history.

For me, personally, I think the happiest moment that I had as a Giants fan was when that final kick from Matt Bahr in San Francisco on January 20, 1991, sailed through the uprights. That field goal gave the Giants the victory against the perfect rival, the "Team of the Decade" San Francisco 49ers, who had made a very strong big to achieve the three-peat, but fell short against the Giants on that day. This made me even happier than a week later, when the Giants beat the Bills to win their second Super Bowl, because without the narrow win at San Francisco, the victory over Buffalo simply would not have happened, although the other field goal by Scott Norwood, and which sailed wide right, would rank as my second favorite moment.

After those two, probably my third favorite moment as a Giants fan was going to the stadium a few years ago, after their most recent Super Bowl win, and celebrating it with my son. That has become a lasting memory, and I was so pleased to be able to share that kind of a memory with my son.

Surely, there are other great memories that people have, and here are some links to articles that focus on this very subject:
