Adel Termos was in Beirut, in the unfortunate position of being right by one of the bombers, this past Friday night.
He saw that something was terribly wrong, and in the spur of the moment, faced with an impossible decision, he decided to do something.
He jumped on the terrorist in an attempt to save his daughter.
Unfortunately, his daughter was killed, as well. Yet, hundreds of people, potentially, are alive, because of his actions.
I am French, and appreciate all of the attention and sympathy that France had received in the last few days following the Paris attacks. But we should remember that there was more than one bombing on Friday, and that this man was a true hero who should receive every bit as much recognition as any hero has.
