Going on a vacation, particularly to some brand new place as yet undiscovered by me and, hopefully, my fellow traveling companion (assuming that I am indeed raveling with someone) is never really all that far from my mind.
It is something that I aspire to, and perhaps that might make me sound like a dreamer, or whatever other label people would want to find.
So be it. It is just that there is so much more to this world than the boring, soul-crushing daily routine that many of us, if not really most of us, resign ourselves to at some point. There is just so many incredible things and places that many, if not most, of us would find truly amazing, and which could restore us and recharge our batteries, so to speak.
Not all that long ago (just a couple of months and change, really), my son and I went on a trip to Arizona, where we saw some truly incredible things. For example, we saw not just petrified wood, but a forest of the stuff (so to speak), many with colorful crystals embedded inside. We saw the southwestern desert, and the cold peaks of the mountains towering over Flagstaff.
Oh, and a little hole in the ground known as the Grand Canyon.
It was an amazing trip, but incredibly short, too. We went for six days, even though I had planned for it as if we were going to be spending six weeks there. And frankly, it passed by so damn fast, that it sometimes feels like six hours.
Almost immediately (really, almost before that particular trip even started), I began to dream about the possibilities for the next trip. There are so many distant corners of the world, so many incredible places to potentially go to and explore, that the world is the limit, really. Perhaps someday, we will feasibly have space tourism. But until then, our limitations are worldly.
Still, there are some incredible, unbelievable, breathtaking corners of this world, and if you are like me, these things fascinate you, intrigue you, and make you want to jump on an airplane and travel o far off locales in order to go see them.
So, for those who are like that, this link below seemed appropriate. It is about some of the most amazing corners of the world that relatively few people actually travel to go see. I recommend clicking on the link and checking it out for yourself:
