Les Habs Finally Earn Their First Win of This Year's Stanley Cup Finals in Montréal

Les Canadiens de Montréal

The Canadiens did it! They finally won a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning in this Stanley Cup Finals.

Maybe it seems like a modest goal, perhaps. But the way this series was going after three games, winning even one game seemed like far from a certainty.

I was actually able to watch the game last night, and was very glad to see the team finally win their first game of this series, although it was a tough win, and they seemed to flirt with disaster a few times. The Lightning enjoyed a long power play to open up the overtime session, and they came fairly close at times. If not for Canadiens goalie Corey Price making some terrific saves, it might have indeed ended last night with a sweep.

Instead, the Canadiens finally won their first game of the series, and force the series back to Tampa for a Game 5.

Now obviously, it would be a lot for the Canadiens even to win that one, and make a series of it. Clearly, trying to win on the road in Tampa against a team of this caliber is a tall order. Let's hope that they can do it.

But I was just glad that they at least won a game in this series. I will be pulling for them, obviously, to win Game 5 and bring the series back to Montréal.

Let's see if they can build something from this, gain some momentum in this series.

Go Habs, Go!!!
