Yet, it turned out to be a very pleasant excursion. Really, even a highlight of my brief visit to Lisbon.
When I went to visit the Belem Tower, I had to switch from the Metro to a bus. Turns out that the Metro doesn't run all the way to the Belem Tower.
So when I got off the bus, I was struck first by some architectural beauty. This ended up being the Mosteiro dos Jeromimes in Belem. I kept taking pictures of it, until I really truly noticed that the pictures would be enhanced from the gardens.
Personally, I believe that these proved to be some of the best pictures that I took during my visit to Lisbon.
