By now, we all know that President Trump and his administration like to send mixed messages.
So I take this claim by Trump now that he will not be seeking a third term with a grain of salt. If I was a gambling man, my money still will be on him running again in 2028. Personally, I do not believe that his ego will allow him not to run, and not to claim to be an unbeatable candidate. Also, to declare victory after the election no matter what actually happens.
Nevertheless, he at least claims that he will not be running, and conceded that the law apparently will not permit it. Of course, the law does not seem to slow him down in any other way. This is one man who seems truly to be above the law in his actions and attitude and - let's face it - in the lack of ramifications when he does violate the law. When has he ever really faced serious consequences for his actions?
In this interview, Trump dismissed earlier claims to the contrary as him just basically toying with what he described as the "Fake News" media.
This would be good news.
Again, though, we shall see.
