Week 2 Thursday Night Football Prediction for Bengals - Texans

Okay, so I published another blog entry earlier, and did not actually get around to making the entire week's predictions just yet.

Still, seeing as though there is a game later today, it seems appropriate to go ahead and make a prediction. So, here goes:

Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals - This is a difficult game to predict. Both teams are coming off majorly disappointing blowout losses at home to division rivals. Both of them hope to rebound with a win here, and hopefully get the season back on track. Only one of these teams can win this game, however. Still, it is a tight game, or at least looks to be. If this were in Houston, I would definitely pick the Texans. But seeing as this is in Cincy, it seems like ti could go either way. The Texans were not especially good on the road last season, winning two games. Yet, the Bengals were not particularly impressive last season themselves. Also, Houston seems to have Cincy's number in recent years. They have a tough defense that should keep the Bengals offense in check. The question mark would be how the Texans offense will respond, and that, really, is their liability. Still, I expect the Texans to be able to win out in this one. My prediction: Houston
