Scientists Found That Playing Music to Cheese As It Aged Produced Different Flavors, Depending on the Music

Recently, some scientists discovered that cheese which aged to different styles of music produced very different flavors.

What was the one style of music that netted the most radical results?

Hip-hop.

Fascinating.

Not sure what ever gave scientists the idea to play music to cheese as it aged, and see the results.

But they did. And what they discovered seems somehow both surprising and expected, if that is at all possible. The cheese tasted different, depending on what kind of music was played.

It probably has something to do with the physical vibrations from the soundwaves of the music, but it feels a bit like it gives cheese personality. Of course, cheese is not alive, so it is different than, say, people who talk to and/or pet their plants, swearing that this has noticeable results. Unfortunately, my experience growing plants is too limited to really weigh in with any real authority.

Perhaps I am getting a bit outside of the point, though. Cheese tasted different based on what kind of music it was exposed to. That seems to me quite amazing. If you feel the same way, then please take a look at the link to the article below, where they explain it in more detail:

  1. I'm reminded of another scientific experiment I heard about many years ago, this one involving plants, which you mentioned in this post. A plant was exposed to soothing classical music, and over the course of several weeks, it began to entwine itself around the cassette player or whatever sound system it was that was producing that music. Another plant was placed next to a sound system that played heavy metal instead. The plant gradually recoiled, and although I'm not entirely sure about this last part, possibly even died. Which, as sad as that is for that plant, strikes me as being darkly comedic.
