There was an interesting chapter in music history that could have shaken the world up at the time, and become part of the history and mythology of rock lore. Instead, it is largely forgotten and obscure, for a variety of reasons.

What event am I referring to?

Of course, I am talking about the meeting between the Beatles and Elvis Presley. Indeed, perhaps the most famous - or rather, infamous - thing that came from that was Elvis apparently meeting with President Nixon to try and urge him to crack down on the Beatles. Perhaps some people are okay with that, but to me, it severely alters the image of Elvis Presley to my mind, and not for the better.

Again, though, this meeting could have not only been more positive, but more generally remembered, as well. Should have been remembered, in fact. But there were no pictures of the meeting between these giants of music. They were huge at the time of their meeting, although the Beatles were at the height of their power, and Elvis was starting to be a fading star.
