Real-Life Inspiration of the Fictional Princess Leia Was a Real Mexican Revolutionary

Just saw a post about this on Facebook, and it seemed fascinating to me. And so it also seemed worth sharing here.

The real life Mexican revolutionary Clara de la Rocha was the inspiration for the fictional Princess Leia of the Star Wars universe, perhaps particularly her unique and now iconic hairstyle.

This was fascinating. A little bit of a different take on truth meets fiction. And while it comes a day after Cinqo de Mayo and two days after Star Wars Day, it still seemed relatively timely to publish it now.

Take a look by clicking on the two links below, and enjoy. Personally, I found it quite fascinating.
