Does anyone remember the visit last May?
Well, this one was a little bit different.
First and biggest difference: I was not alone this time around.
Second major difference: my aunt and cousin, who came with me, had set up a get together.
So I actually met some family and friends whom I had never met before, which was nice.
Third major difference: we visited the house of my aunt and uncle and that side of the family
It was a bit of a shock to see it in the state that it is in now. Not that it ever looked great or complete.
Yet now, the vegetation surrounding it has overtaken it, making it virtually inaccessible from one side.
The other side now a home to sheep.
I had expected to see it abandoned. Seeing it as a makeshift barn felt bizarre.
Seeing what was kind of my old bedroom also was a small shock.
But what can you do?
