Yes, apparently the anticipation for the long rumored movie version of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle will be made into a television movie.
It was one of his earliest and most distinctive novels, and a lot of people still refer to the fictional Ice-9 that came out of that novel as a metaphor for a be all, end all weapon that, frankly, it still seems nations around the world are trying to obtain.
Sad state of affairs.
However, the release of this movie, even if it is a television movie, is welcome news for Vonnegut fans.
Let's just hope that it is a halfway decent movie that compliments the novel, rather than detracts from it.
