Morgan Freeman is one of the most respected actors in the entertainment industry.
Indeed, he seems to be very likable, and has an intelligent, thoughtful way of going about things.
Usually, also, he tends to be fairly well reserved, and not as "out there" as some other celebrities tend to be. Not quite as taken with his own self-importance, as some other celebrities who are kind of "in your face" with their celebrity status. People like, say, the Kardashians, or Justin Beiber, or Donald Trump. In other words, people who are in the public eye, and who seem to flaunt it, and display the worst elements of being a human being in a very privileged position. Spoiled brats and high-profile idiots, in other words.
They make a mockery of themselves, and portray Hollywood and the entertainment industry in a very poor and shallow light.
So, it is refreshing when we have someone different, like Freeman.
Normally, again, Freeman is relatively reserved with sharing his thoughts. But not this time, not with all that is going on.
And he is particularly harsh in his judgment of the popular media, not sugarcoating or pulling any punches, as he said, quite literally, 'Fuck the media!"
He feels, with quite a bit of justification, that the media has completely mishandled the recent slate of police brutality cases, particularly those sensitive ones with a seeming racial aspect to it.
