Stephen Colbert made a career of poking fun at Bill O'Reilly...literally.
His over-the-top persona when he had his show on Comedy Central was based mostly on O'Reilly, and the few times that they went head to head, it always seemed that Colbert got the best of him.
And so it should not be surprising that it happened again.
O'Reilly was trying to make the case for Trump and Sanders being essentially one and the same which, to me, is a sure sign that his pretending to hate Democrats is all too scripted. Once someone comes along that really is quite different from the rest of the Democrats - someone who would not shy away from the label of socialism that FOX News and O'Reilly both throw around and have made every attempt to turn into a bad word - then suddenly, he simply dismisses the guy as an extremist, and compares him to the anti-establishment candidate that has been bashing other Republicans throughout the race so far, Donald Trump.
But there is no comparison, other than that they are both outsiders, and Colbert and his audience made that clear when O'Reilly came onto the Late Show and started poking fun of Sanders.
