Dallas Shootings

Right now, there is breaking news on CNN concerning shootings in Dallas, Texas.

The shootings occurred at approximately 9pm local time (10pm EST), after a protest against recent police shootings of black men.

There were snipers targeting policemen, and 11 officers are reported to have been shot. Four of them have already been reported as having been killed.

The cycle of violence in this country right now is ridiculous. There is a problem with police brutality, and that seems pretty clear. That, in turn, might lead to further violence, and this situation in Dallas may signal that. Also, I think we have a real problem with the easy accessibility of guns that allow for massive violence, including mass shootings such as this.

Details are still sketchy, as this incident just happened a few hours ago. It is believed that the suspects planted bombs, as well.

Not entirely sure what is going on in this country right now, but this has got to stop!
