Afterwards, however, it was all Djokovic, as he easily won the second and third set, before holding on in another tiebreaker in the fourth set to advance to the semifinal round.

Meanwhile, one of the biggest shocks of this tournament so far just happened, as the world number two, legendary Spaniard Rafael Nadal, faced Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in his quarterfinal match. Nadal looked to be cruising early on, taking the first two sets, before suffering a rather shocking collapse that ultimately saw Tsitipas pull off a stunning upset, 3-6, 2-6, 7-6, (7-4), 6-4, 7-5.

So, Nadal is out. He will continue his pursuit of a record 21st career Grand Slam title in a few months at the French Open. However, the Australian Open remains the one Grand Slam event that he has only won once, as he managed to win each of the others multiple times each.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams pasted Simona Halep of Romania in straight sets, winning decisively by a score of 6-3, 6-3, to advance to the semifinal round.
